Luguah NaturalsLuguah Naturals are a natural hair, skin and lip care line, hand-crafted from some of the best oils and butters sourced from Africa. Luguah Naturals was founded by Lulu Kimbio and Mbugua Macharia in October 2016. Shea by Asal Rebranded to ( Bu.Ke)Bu.Ke has both hair and body products including shampoo bars, bentonite clay, body soap bars and hair growth stimulating oil. I’m a huge fan of Bu.Ke soaps especially the turmeric and raw shea butter bars.
Harvest of SunshineMumbi Muturi-Muli founde of Harvest of Sunshine, her products are water based but with preservatives that are natural ingredient friendly such as Optiphen Plus (INCI: Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid). Optiphen is a globally approved preservative developed as an alternative for personal care formulations requiring a parabean and formaldehyde free preservative system. The need for preservatives is simply because once water is an ingredient in a product there is room for bacteria to grow, which can wreck havoc on one’s hair and skin. The line is also silicon and mineral oil free. Her products incudes The Na’azi name is from the Swahili word for Coconut of which the line of products has coconut oil as their main ingredient. Buyu is the name of a Baobab seed in Swahili and the line of products rely on the goodness of the baobab oil. M’cado is a local Kenyan name for Avocado, which is a key ingredient in infusing moisture into natural hair therefore the base of the deep conditioning product. Yangu is a local Maasai name for cape chestnut and provides luxurious richness to the hair and skin. Mwele is a name that combines Nywele (hair) and Mwili (body) which are both Swahili words which is a Shea Based product that can be used all over one’s body.
Mugzie’s Naturals Mugzie’s Naturals founder, Mugethi Gitau dreamed of making and selling hair products and body products. Hair because as a nappyhead, she had such trouble getting products. Body because she wanted to enjoy the luxury of using organic natural products on her body. She also wanted to make them available to others for the same reasons. She also wanted to avail them to people with sensitive skin, eczema, children and simply people who are conscious on what ingredients are in the products they are buying and using on themselves and their kids.

Akusi OrganicsAkusi Organics products that consist of a variety of natural soaps including charcoal facial soap, charcoal turmeric facial soap, carrot soap, watermelon soap, aloe Vera soap, banana soap, rosemary soap, avocado and aloe vera soap and coffee and milk soap. There’s also a salt scrub. I haven’t used these products yet but everything sounds amazing and I love the use of all these ingredients that aren’t readily found in most products but we already know have great benefits.
