Dubbed as the Kenyan Tik-Tok queen for her enchanting, effortless song covers and infectious smile after her Otile Brown ‘Dusuma’ challenge video went viral, Tory Lyn has not stopped at that as she is now taking her music career to a whole new level.

Tory Lynn is a famous name on the social circle, if you have heard the name or a viral video with her you already know she has amazing vocals and more so after her Tik-Tok video gathered more than 1.5 million views of her singing cover songs.

She has since got a recording deal with an American Music Label Mpact Muzik where she has found her second home to help her get her music to the next level. Also signed to the record label is Kenyan dancehall star Teferah.

Tory Lynn has recently released a new music video titled ‘Lately’ with amazing, snappy and beautiful visuals Tory Lynn looks set to take over the Young Kenyan Pop market with a bang.

The youngster has mushroomed to a diva on her new release and as her voice echoes on the well-crafted beat you can’t help but desire for more. Well, the Kenyan dancehall scene has never been awash with many artists with only a few notable old guards of the genre and really nobody fresh to keep the genre going and you can not be mistaken for saying dancehall was on it’s dead bed in Kenya.
Not only Kenya but East Africa as a whole coz we will always witness very few dancehall acts come out to release fresh content year long except for the few like Wyre and Redsan.

Never the less, a new Kenyan artist has been steadily on the rise churning hits after hits, Nakuru bases artist Teferah is already a household name in the Rift Valley.
Also known as the 46 boss,he runs the city in the genre and looks like he is ready to take over the throne and what can we say but hail the king.

Gabiro’s fans have found more interest in his ‘Kus Kus’ jam after the attention it received from academy award winner Owuor Arunga.

Owuor Arunga could not hide his excitement when he heard this song play for the first time, the global trumpet act was spotted enjoying the African sound in an Instagram video showing he is in Seattle,America.

Owuor Arunga is a jazz trumpeter. He was born in Kisumu in Kenya and moved to New York in the early 2000s, where he studied in The New School’s Jazz & Contemporary Music Program.

From his origin as a member of the Garfield High School Jazz Band, Owuor has since played around the United States and toured around the world, including Canada, Europe and South Africa.

Some of the artist he has played or apprenticed with include Charlie Persip, Candido Camero, Billy Bang, The Cadillacs, Robert Glasper, Louis Reyes Rivera, Olu Dara, Jimmy Owens, and Chico Freeman. Arunga has also played with Seattle hip hop acts including Macklemore (The Heist), The Physics, and Black Stax.

It was a moment of instant head bobbing for the Kenyan born trumpeter while listening to the song and dancing to it with the cameras on, Gabiro in turn posted the video on his profile,his fans seem to be falling in love with the song even more after the attention it received from Owuor Arunga.

He is steadily building a reputation for Kisumu’s best lyricist, and but also shares his personal struggles through his art. From working as a matatu tout to battling drug abuse, Gabiro’s ability to tell stories separates him from rap music ‘status quo’.

While many rappers tell us their story, Gabiro possesses the ability to bring you into his world and show it you. Perhaps his most notable song, “Story” , is a story of  stories that happen in real life but they are often ignored . In dramatic fashion, this song discusses bullying, police shootings, drug abuse and political injustice. There are few artists that connect with such issues through their music.

Kagwe Mungai is launching his first album, Spectrum in a colorful concert at the Alchemist! Come and celebrate with us!

After a successful string of singles,Kagwe Mungai now eyes an album. The talented crooner-cum-music producer took to his Instagram to announce that his debut album Spectrum is underway. The deets were albeit sketchy at first,but he promised a follow up post to demystify its predecessor. That he did a few hours later.

A 12-track album,with 3 bonus tracks to boot is slated for the 18th of May 2019. Some already-released tracks like Till The End and Bass will feature on the album. 3 of the tracklist will be collaborations,two of them with fellow local musicians.

The best thing about discovering new music and fresh artists is that you don’t have to put their work in a box. You go with the flow. You take what they have to give and you decide whether it is for you or it isn’t.

Just Imagine Africa is a group that describes themselves as ‘the African siblings that Outcast never had’. That quote will either work for them or against them, because those are some pretty tough shoes to associate you with.

However, I’m of the opinion that if you feel you have it, you need to let others know.

Victoria Kimani is back with a bang, this time with a single dubbed “Swalalala”. The Video was directed by Sweetness and produced by Masterkraft. This is something that no one should miss.

Kimani glides through with the lyrics and the tempo. Damn! This girl is fine. The Kenyan song writer has been in the media with cat fights but this jam still proves she can still do music. This release comes after has latest song Wash It which featured Ghanaian lyricist Sarkodie. This song is simply a dis to her haters.

The song was shot in Kibera kenya, which is amongest the largest slums in Africa. The background is very creative and honestly, who would have that Kimani would shoot a video in such a place? The lyrics and the beats are just in sync with the song.

The video quality is of international standards. The words and the video too are in sync. The production generally is commendable. Also make up and costume was well thought off. Victoria Kimani had great minds working with her.
