Turkish Cosmetic Market

Global cosmetics market size is estimated to be 300 Billion Euros whereas Turkey cosmetics market size is around 5.5 Billion Euros. Researches state that even during the periods of economic crisis, the demand for cosmetics products do not decrease in fact it continues to increase despite the crisis.

This situation is a valuable indicator to demonstrate the growth potential of the market. Turkey creates a bridge between European companies that have powerful market shares, Asia and Pacific companies that have strong growth rate and Middle East countries that have a high demand for cosmetics and personal care products.

Looking at the developments in the cosmetics sector, especially in the last 10 years Turkish cosmetics market is growing rapidly by nearly %10 annually. Also, Turkish companies continue to extend their product ranges and varieties as well as increase their investments nationally and internationally. There are many factors that can be attributed to the growth of Turkish cosmetics market, primarily due to Turkey becoming a center of attraction for global cosmetics market with huge investments coming in.

One reason is that Turkey being the youngest and 2nd largest population of Europe with 29 age average and 80 million respectively resulting in rapid increase of cosmetics consumption alongside with increased demand for organic and herbal products and increasing number of tourists who come to Istanbul and Mediterranean cities for shopping attracts cosmetics companies worldwide to enter the Turkish market.

Leila Noelliste Beauty Blogger from Brooklyn New York

Leila Noelliste has innovated in the beauty space for more than a decade. Her award winning hair and beauty site, Black Girl with Long Hair www.blackgirllonghair.com, became top-ranked for women and beauty, receiving more than 5 million page views monthly before closing in February 2018.

She followed this with the creation of BGLH Marketplace, a whipped shea, cocoa and mango butter boutique that operates online and out of a storefront in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn. The beauty startup currently generates $300,000 in annual revenue from a 14,000-person customer base, and is projected to generate $400,000 in revenue in 2019.

After launching Black Girl with Long Hair, a top‐ranked natural hair and beauty site, she noticed two things: that shea, mango and cocoa butter are miracle ingredients with an endless list of health and beauty benefits for hair and skin, and that her readers had repeated complaints about lack of consistent access to them.

Black girl with long hair products collection

In November 2014 she launched BGLH Marketplace and began selling raw shea butter from her blog, mostly to her readers.

In January 2015 she got the idea to evolve her store into an ‘ice cream shop for the body’, where customers could pick from a variety of all‐natural whipped and scented mango, shea and cocoa butters to incorporate into their skin and hair routine. Her goal was to make the butters as fragrant, rich and absorbent as possible.

Studying pastry techniques, she learned how to use commercial grade mixers to whip the butters to a soft and fluffy consistency that sinks right into hair and skin.

Noelliste now whips about one metric ton of shea, mango and cocoa butter a year with the help of two assistants.

But first, let’s talk about what fingers coils actually are.

What Is Eyebrow Microblading? or 3D eyebrow embroidery

Back in the 90s, pencil-thin, skinny brows were apparently a thing. That was a dark time, considering how your brows make a world of difference in framing your face and accentuating your features. It’s all about thicker and fuller brows now! Microblading is not just the hottest beauty trend currently but also a heaven-sent solution for us victims of over-plucked, thin eyebrows. If you are looking to give your brows a long-term fix, here’s everything you need to know about this semi-permanent eyebrow treatment.

What Is Eyebrow Microblading?

Microblading is a technique that involves filling in your eyebrows with semi-permanent tattoo ink to look like brow hairs. Similar to getting a tattoo, this treatment uses tiny needles that make up a small blade to deposit the pigment under your skin. You can save a ton of time every morning as brows take a solid few minutes in one’s daily makeup routine.

If you haven’t heard all the buzz surrounding microblading, you are bound to have a whole lot of questions. We’ve got you covered because it’s super important to make an informed decision when it comes to anything even remotely permanent.

How Is Microblading Done?

Before your aesthetician starts with the microblading procedure, they will draw and fill in your eyebrows to determine your desired look. Once this is done, they will use a specially designed tool that bleeds color pigment into the small scratches of your epidermis. This creates fine lines that mimic strokes of hair.

Remember, the treatment requires time and patience. You might have to go in for a few sittings to achieve natural and realistic looking brows. The number of sessions wholly depends on the state of your natural eyebrows.

Interesting Facts And Myths about Makeup

Internet, television and friend are all good sources of makeup tips. But honestly, how do you even know if that tip is worth trying? The Majority of the tips we hear about turn out to be pure myths! So, to help you weed out the myths from the really helpful tips, we have compiled this list of the top 10 makeup misconceptions that every one of us have heard a million times!

10 Interesting Makeup Facts And Myths

Let’s bust some myths and facts about makeup, right here!

Myth 1: Primers And Moisturizers Work The Same Way!

Fact:

Completely different in formula from moisturizers, Primers help in the easy application of the foundation by creating a smooth base and also makes it last longer. A primer fills fine lines, minimizes the pore size and prevents oiliness. Unlike the moisturizer, which just hydrates the skin and controls dryness, a primer should be applied after moisturizing the skin and before applying the foundation.

Myth 2: Red Lipstick Cannot Be Carried Well By Everyone!

Fact:

A self assumed myth by many teenagers and beginners in makeup, this myth is absolutely not true! Anyone can absolutely rock a red lipstick and look stunning. The only tip you should remember is to pick the right red depending on your skin tone. Red lipsticks are available in different undertones – blue undertone reds are universally flattering. So, you can try different red shades and pick the one, which suits you the best.

Myth 3: Choose Your Foundation By Matching It To Your Forehead, Neck, Cheek Or Hand!

Fact:

Finding the perfect foundation is the toughest task in makeup. The color of the skin on the forehead, neck, cheek and hands differ completely from the face. Stand in front of a mirror and place your hand near your face and you will notice that your hand is darker than the skin tone of your face. It is a biggest makeup misconception to match your foundation with these areas of your skin. Stress, sun exposure, weather conditions can change the skin color on your face than the rest of the body. So, it is best to always swatch your foundation on the jaw line of your face to get the perfect foundation shade and it is also good to try it in natural light.

Myth 4: Lip Plumper Can Increase The Size Of Your Lips!

Fact:

If you have thinner lips, you might have heard several people recommending lip plumpers for you. It contains hot pepper, cinnamon, menthol and caffeine, which irritate your lips to result in a swollen effect. It is a misconception that it is a treatment and the effect will last for a longer period of time. The fact is that it is not a permanent lip plumping treatment. The only solution for thinner lips to get permanent results is to get lip augmentation done with hyaluronic acid fillers.

Myth 5: Pump Your Mascara Wand In And Out To Get Rid Of Clumps!

Fact:

Mascara is one makeup product, which gets easily deteriorated with usage. Pumping the mascara wand in and out will only result in pumping air into the mascara tube, resulting in the formula drying faster than the expiry date and the air might also cause bacterial accumulation. The best way to easily get rid of mascara clumps is to rotate the mascara wand in the tube and then wipe it with a tissue before applying it to your eyelashes.

Beauty Secrets For Men

Your face is the first thing that people see when they look at you.

Did you know that your skin is the largest organ?

As a man always wash your face twice on a daily basis before you got to sleep and when you wake up. This is the best way to prevent acne, pimples, whiteheads and blackheads. Treating acne takes a lot of patience and time till all the dark spots go away. However, if your acne is very persistent then consider seeing a dermatologist. Also be on the lookout for cleansers that list salicylic acid as an ingredient. Salicylic acid breaks down compounds that try to block pores so it helps fight blackheads and whiteheads.

If you have facial hair then use the right shaving cream plus shaver on your face. To reduce the likelihood of getting bumpy skin around your beard. For sensitive skin that reacts to normal shaving creams then go natural and create your own shaving cream. Your face will love you for it. Oil your beard

Invest in a good moisturizer for your face. This will help you to minimize and prevent wrinkles. Don’t forget each lot of fruits and vegetables plus drinking enough water a day. It’ll help flush out toxins and keep your face looking new.

If you spend a lot of time outside in the sun then consider investing in sunscreen. Test the sunscreen on a small part of your face to see if your skin breaks out before implementing it as a part of your skincare routine.

Don’t forget the teeth. The perfect smile has white teeth. Brush your pearly whites twice a day to fight off plaque and to keep them white. You can buy toothpaste that helps whiten teeth or you can ask your dentist to whiten them at the next appointment.

Keep your nails short and clean because it looks better that way. If you’re really into looking after your nails then try out a manicure.

Wash your hair on a regular basis. It’s easier to look after shorter hair than longer hair. If you have dreadlocks then make sure that they’re well maintained so they don’t start cutting. You can use unrefined coconut oil to moisturize your hair and scalp.

Tips and Benefits Of Diamond Facials

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Now, that’s absolutely true. These precious rocks not just rock the jewelry world, but are also the most trending ingredients in the cosmetic universe that can give you a “fab forever” skin. How? That’s what I have discussed right below! Keep reading!

Benefits Of A Diamond Facial

Do not confuse it with Diamond Microdermabrasion (which is a cosmetic procedure using diamonds). I am talking about facial massage gels and creams containing diamond dust. These are the most luxe skincare ranges in the town right now. Most of the major skin care brands have come up with skin care products and facial kits that contain diamond dust. These have a range of benefits to offer.

1. Exfoliates Your Skin

Diamond is an excellent exfoliation agent. It helps in removing dead skin cells and boosts cell regeneration. Moreover, compared to other exfoliants, diamond facials offer a longer exfoliating effect on your skin. This increases the metabolic function of your skin, thus promoting cellular regeneration. And that means radiance that’s not less than the sparkle of a diamond!

2. It Prevents Aging-Related Issues

A facial massage using creams containing diamond dust also stimulates blood circulation in your face. Blood carries all the vital nutrients to your skin. This helps in delaying the onset of fine lines and wrinkles. It also tightens your skin and facial muscles. You can see noticeable changes with regular sessions. This is one of the reasons beauties across the world prefer diamond facial.

3. Treats Other Skin Issues

Have dry skin? Or is your skin tanned? Or do the whiteheads and blackheads refuse to leave your skin? If that is so, a diamond facial is just the thing you need. It helps even out your skin tone and also makes the whiteheads and blackheads disappear.

4. Detoxifies Your Skin

If you are someone who needs to go out on a regular basis, your facial skin takes a regular beating from dust and other environmental pollution. These often accumulate in your skin pores and cannot be just cleared by merely washing your face. A diamond facial cleanses your skin thoroughly, banishing dirt and dust from your pores and making your skin glow.

5. Helps In Controlling Breakouts

Acne, pimples, and any other form of skin breakouts are rooted in your clogged pores. Yes. If the pores are clogged, and sebum cannot flow through them, they turn into zits (mostly an acne or a pimple). A diamond facial keeps the skin clean and the pores unclogged, thus preventing any breakouts.
