Pageant Politics: Zozi Tunzi Ditches Miss SA After ‘Dress Drama’

Did Zozi Tunzi ditch the Miss SA pageant finale and unfollow them on IG – after being asked to pay for her own dresses?

There are numerous rumors claiming that former Miss SA Zozi Tunzi skipped the pageant’s grand finale due to an argument about her costume expenses.

Zimoja claimed that Tunzi was required to fit into her attire for the pageant reality TV program Crown Chasers.

The 2019 Miss Universe winner Zozi also appears to have unfollowed the competition on Instagram.

While many former Miss South Africa contestants, including Tamryn Green, Cindy Nel, Tansey Coetzee, and Melinda Bam, were present at the pageant’s conclusion on Sunday, August 13, Zozi Tunzi did not.

The former monarch, who hosted the six-part television series Crown Chasers, had a significant role in the finale’s build-up.

It’s interesting to see that Zozi Tunzi didn’t post anything about Miss SA’s crowning.
Additionally, she stopped following the official Instagram account.

Who Is To Blame For The Dress Dispute?
Zimoja claims that Zozi Tunzi was asked to use Crown Chasers to pay for her wardrobe bills.
That was not covered by our agreement, a person who wished to remain nameless informed the publication. I was hired as a stylist for the show, not by Zozi, and now I’m being expected to bill her.
A five-part television series called Crown Chasers gave viewers a behind-the-scenes peek at the contest.
The show’s hosts were Zozi and the judges were Leandie du Randt and Bonang Matheba.

Reply From Miss SA
Tumi Moema, Zozi Tunzi’s manager, reportedly acknowledged the dress issue to Zimoja.
“Zozi has nothing to do with the stylist’s payment,” he declared. We did not agree to that. I’ll discuss it with them.

The South African contacted Miss SA for a formal response. “Zozibini Tunzi is an in-demand personality with a full schedule,” it was stated in a statement.
Other than that, the Miss South Africa Organization is unable to comment on Ms.
Tunzi’s schedule or her use of social media. At every Miss South Africa event, she is, nevertheless, warmly greeted and recognized.

“The Miss South Africa title carries with it a lot of hope, aspirations and most importantly, it enables young women from all backgrounds to showcase the power of what one can achieve with the right mindset.

“Crown Chasers” will be broadcast weekly starting from Saturday, July 8, in the lead-up to the final event and the crowning of a new Miss South Africa, which will take place at Sun International’s SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria on Sunday, August 13.

Cardi B Attends Schiaparelli’s Paris Fashion Week Show in Sleek “Cardi Couture” 2023

At the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show on July 3 during Paris Fashion Week, Cardi B was in a league of her own in terms of fashion. The “WAP” rapper looked stunning in a dress by the Italian label that Schiaparelli herself labeled “Cardi Couture” on Instagram. Cardi attracted attention while donning a head-to-toe black outfit and flashy gold jewelry, in part because of her large, feathery black jacket.

While her scene-stealing coat was difficult to look away from, Cardi looked equally stylish when she took it off to show a form-fitting, sleeveless black dress with a touch of gold embroidery at the bust and a corset back with two rows of buttons.

Zari All-white Party: Young Famous And African Cast Arrive In Ugandan As Rick Ross Endorses Zari Hassan’s All White Party

On Thursday, December 22, 2022, as Zari Hassan’s All White Party made a triumphant return, pomp, glitter, showbiz, and all the good things shone brightly on Motiv in Bugolobi, Kampala.
The Zari the boss lady All White Party was returning to Motiv on Thursday night, and socialites, performers, actresses, deejays, media personalities, and other public figures descended upon the venue.

As you approached the location, shiny rides, gorgeous ashers, and decor made it obvious that you were entering somewhere frequented by wealthy elite Kampala partygoers.
It was quite a sight that may have caused some eyes to go blind: revelers clothed in white, appearing pretty heavenly, save for the pricey liquor brands that crowded the tables.

The evening began with red carpet arrival when Zari’s ardent followers showed off their sense of style before her South African guests also showed up dressed like celebrities.

The annual Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards 2022 presentation, with the theme “The Awakening,” took place on December 16, 2022, at the Kampala Serena Hotel.

The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards are an African fashion award show that honors and recognizes members of the fashion industry, such as fashion designers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, media figures, and influencers on the African Continent and beyond our borders. The Body Shop Enters The Kenyan Beauty Market And Plans To Launch An E-commerce Platform In The First Half Of 2023.

In an effort to address the rising demand for cosmetics made in an ethical and sustainable manner, the international beauty brand The Body Shop has announced its arrival into the Kenyan market.

Through their exclusive franchisee, The Mask Retailers, the British-founded, trend-setting cosmetics business, which sells over 800 products, opens its first location in Nairobi at the Village Market. The Body Shop also announced intentions to introduce an e-commerce platform in 2023 to make its products more accessible to customers in the East Africa region.

The renowned and high-quality hair distribution company Natna Hair, with headquarters in Uganda, recently debuted its newest item as part of the launch of its new collection.
The brand has been on the fast track to success, even releasing products not just for women but for men, in a time when appearance and self-care are the norms.
A couple of the products that the company’s catalog highlights are hair extensions for balding men and beard extensions.

We had an exclusive opportunity to speak with the company’s executive Sina Tsegazeab, who explains to us what this new collection means to their customers and why self-care and beauty are no longer a luxury but rather a way of life.

Ann Mumbi: What is Natna Natural Hair all about?

Sina Tsegazeab: Natna hair is a brand that deals with carefully selected human hair weaves, wigs, lace wigs, ponytails, closures, lashes, and so on.
All our products are made from 100% human hair that has no plastic, fiber or synthetic added.

AM: When and how did you get into the hair and beauty industry?

ST: I started working in the cosmetics industry in 2013. It’s funny how I got into the business.

To cut a long tale short, buyers began to complain that the items weren’t up to par and were of poor quality after receiving a sizable purchase.
They were going through a terrible period, so they started seeking someone to give them advice.

As they were doing this, they remembered me, so I joined to offer assistance.

Because I used to plait weaves frequently, I had some knowledge.

They later found the business to be tough to manage, so they offered me an opportunity if I could take over.
I took over, changed the brand, and now I’m here.

AM: What were you doing before you decided to set up Natna Hair?

ST: I was a student at Cavendish University studying online marketing prior to starting the company.

AM: What was the catalyst in your journey?

ST: I constantly strive to be at the top of my game.

AM: How would you describe your signature look?

ST: decent, corporate office appearance.

AM: How important are the ingredients in hair care products?

ST: In brief, it’s like food, and nutritious food is necessary for our bodies, and the same is true of hair and hair products.
The components in hair care products are more significant than you can possibly understand.

AM: What’s a hair care secret that you wish more people knew?

ST: Using natural treatments prior to washing your hair and being aware of your hair type’s requirements.

AM: How important do you think it is for people to have a regular hair care regimen?

ST: Most individuals overlook the fact that taking care of one’s hair should be part of a routine, much like taking care of one’s skin or exercising.

AM: A client comes in and asks for a style that you do not think will suit their face.
How do you respond?

ST: So, in situations like that, the first thing I do is tell them why that wouldn’t be ideal for them. Most of the time, they comprehend and are willing to attempt what I advise. If not, I value their viewpoint.

AM: What treatment methods would you recommend if a client came in with hair damaged from excessive dye?

SM: They should first take a break from dyeing their hair for a while before deep conditioning it.

AM: What credentials and licenses do you have in fields related to hair styling?

SM: I am a qualified hair technologist (not a hairstylist), and I am familiar with all the procedures involved in producing and gathering human hair from donors, as well as the industrial process, how to distinguish between different hair grades, which origins are best for various styles, etc.
An expert in this process is referred to as a hair technician. I learned how to style, make wigs, and ventilate hair on my own.

AM: How do you try to stay up-to-date on current hairdressing trends?

SM: This is simple for me because I now understand how to start a trend rather than just follow one.

AM: Have you ever experienced a situation where a client wasn’t happy with the finished look?
If so, how did you handle a case?

SM: I am not a hair stylist, so I can’t really point anything out.

AM: Why should anyone use your service or product?

SM: That’s a really lovely question.
One is that customers will receive excellent value for their money, long-lasting products that will help them preserve their appearance, and the greatest possible customer service.

AM: You started working in the hair and beauty industry several years ago, how has the industry changed since you began?

SM: It has undergone numerous changes.
People can distinguish between the many hair types and whether or not it is human hair, which makes our job simple.

AM: Any plans to come up with a new product line?

SM: Oh yes, it’s 80% done, and we are going to launch it very soon.

AM: What is your brand philosophy?

SM: Well, this can’t happen because for photo shoots and shows we come knowing what to do and the model also comes knowing that she has to come in a specific style.

AM: Beauty Instagram profiles have become a major influence on the hair and beauty industry, but you keep yours quite personal, how important social platforms are for you?

SM: Yes, you’re correct that Instagram influencers are growing in popularity, but I chose to promote my brand on my own instead because it seemed more logical to do so.

With thousands of hopefuls vying for the title of the next supermodel, modeling has emerged as a highly coveted employment option. The likelihood of getting caught now is one in a million, so the days when you could rely on luck are long gone.
It requires self-control, perseverance, and work to become a role model.
To stand out and get recognized, you must plan, organize, and adhere to a strategy.

1. Develop your modeling skills
Learn the art of posing. Runway walking drills. Posing skills and walking style are what set one attractive model apart from another. It takes art to model.
Whether it’s watching endless episodes of America’s Next Top Model on Netflix, flipping through the pages of Vogue, watching tutorials on YouTube, reading modeling e-books like glamour pictures photography, or picking a favorite model.
On a runway, it can be incredibly uncomfortable to pose and move around. Practice. A piece of advice for modeling is as follows: Get used to posing in front of a camera and another person by having a buddy take photos of you. Alternately, before beginning your path to becoming a fashion model, start small, mount a camera on a tripod, and practice alone until your confidence increases.

2. Practice model poses in front of the camera
Getting practice in front of the camera is the next stage to learning how to start modeling. The supermodels you see in stunning magazine photographs didn’t just stand in front of the lens and hope a talented fashion photographer caught them at the right moment. They assisted the photographer in producing a masterpiece.
A model will use her posture, facial expressions, and artistic sense to help realize the photographer’s vision. They are both equally talented in their respective fields.

It helps to have both a printed copy that you can present when you meet someone in person and an online version (your modeling portfolio website) that you can send to anyone via email. To climb the modeling ladder, you need as much exposure as you can get.

4. Find the right modeling agency
A modeling agency is necessary for every fashion model. Getting seen by a prominent modeling agency in your area is the first step to being signed by one. Snapshots of oneself must be submitted in order to be seen.
In the business, these photos are frequently referred to as “digitals” or “polaroids.”
The most straightforward and unposed photographs are what modeling agencies are searching for so they can see you for WHO YOU ARE. Send in pictures of you with minimal to no makeup on at most a light coat of foundation and mascara.

Who are the current and former models for the agency? What are the newest advertising initiatives for the modeling agency? Are they collaborating with reputable brands and businesses?
Do you WANT to be represented by this firm, which would mean that you would also be representing them?

Send digitals to your top choices once you’ve identified the modeling agencies you are convinced will be a good fit for you.
If you get a call asking you to meet with an agency in person after submitting your digitals, do even more research ahead of time.

Learn about notable fashion designers, the ‘it’ supermodels of the time, and recent news in the fashion, beauty, and modeling industries. By no means do you need to be a walking “encyclopedia of fashion models”; just be observant and knowledgeable.

6. Learn to embrace rejection
Prepare your mind to accept a lot of rejection. You MUST be capable of accepting doors closing in your face without hesitation. Even the most beautiful supermodels to ever walk the earth were given the “NO” signal. Numerous people told them “NO” in various ways and numerous repetitions. It comes with the territory to be rejected. You will do better if you realize and accept that as soon as possible. Do not measure your value by how you appear to others or by their approval of you.

Start getting ready by committing to ignoring any criticism you get this week. Find out if it was simple or challenging. You needed to develop tougher skin even more so the harder it was.
Are you offended that I just encouraged you to develop a thicker skin? If so, the point is just that! Start honing your capacity to accept criticism with a smile! But don’t worry, with enough practice, anyone can pick up this skill.
Every “NO” is simply one “NO” closer to a “YES,” so keep that in mind when you encounter rejection.

7. Make yourself constantly look better
Take good care of your physique, health, skin, and hair. Whether you like it or not, modeling is an aesthetically focused industry, and appearance/beauty is unquestionably important. (Despite this, anyone can succeed as a commercial model regardless of physical attractiveness or body type.) The height and weight requirements for fashion models are, however, more stringent and severe than those for any other type of modeling. Although there isn’t much you can do about genetics, it IS up to you to utilize the genetic makeup that was given to you.
You must follow your meticulous beauty routine if you want to become a model. The following routines, which are used by many supermodels, include but are not limited to the following:

Drinking copious amounts of water throughout the day to stay hydrated and maintain supple skin, quitting smoking, and consuming alcohol sparingly. Others include taking a multivitamin, working out 4-5 days a week, according to a strict diet/meal plan, wearing SPF, never going to bed in makeup, exfoliating/washing/moisturizing their face every morning and evening, and many others.
Whether you are looking at it from a business or personal perspective, feeling and looking your best will only be beneficial to you. Win-win situation. But for any aspiring fashion model, having your beauty routine down pat is unquestionably a career benefit.

A model who takes pride in her appearance is far more valuable than one who is unmotivated to maintain good hygiene and attractiveness.

8. Be safe
Being a fashion model makes you vulnerable, especially in the beginning. So be cautious and stay safe. The most crucial advice I can give aspiring fashion models that are working with fashion designers or photographers is this: Avoid being duped by fake modeling schools (you DO NOT need to pay money to attend any modeling school or training, period).
To begin started, you shouldn’t have to pay for any photos. It should be your agency that arranges for test shoots.
Other frauds include modeling competitions, dishonest “agents,” “casting directors,” or “photographers,” phony casting calls that offer thousands of dollars in pay and a photo shoot abroad, etc.

Establish a reliable support system.
The modeling profession might be intimidating, and it’s simple to become a victim of numerous other problems (party scene, eating disorders, etc.). Inform your family and friends about your professional development.

If anything seems off or strange, they can serve as a sounding board. They could take you to a shoot and wait outside for you. When you experience rejection or a difficult time, they can keep you motivated. Have a safety net and an assistive network!

9. Be Professional
It’s not simple to break into the modeling industry. You must act with complete professionalism. Respond to phone calls. Answer emails and voicemails right away.
Being 30 minutes late for a meeting, casting call, or photo shoot is never acceptable. You should, at the very least, arrive 15 minutes early.
Planning and time management are required for this. When aspiring models think, “Well, I’m pretty enough to be a model, so I will just glide by with my looks alone and no effort,” they are making a big error.

Many aspiring models in the past quit the modeling business because their lack of professionalism, bad attitude, and reputation started to overwhelm their attractiveness.

With a diva, no one wants to work. There are many other stunning women in the world who WON’T be disrespectful or snobby.
When you book a gig, you are speaking for your agency as well as yourself.
Treat EVERYONE with respect while you are on set. If your makeup artist followed a precise instruction that was provided to her but you don’t like the way your makeup turned out, it’s too bad. Do your part now that she has finished hers.

Regardless of your preference for cosmetics, take some killer shots and refrain from disparaging the makeup artist in public. In your modeling profession, showing respect and consideration will go a long way.

10. Commit to work
